The buddy program is designed for international students studying at University Politehnica of Bucharest that would like to know someone that can help them around the city. If this is your case, you came to the right place!

The ESN Poli Buddy Program wants to help exchange students to establish a social and academic network starting from day one. We contribute in making the start of the semester a joyful and exciting experience for the ones starting a new journey of their life in our city.

OK, but how is this working?

Basically, an international student gets paired with one local volunteer and these two are then called “Buddies”. It comes in handy, when you are new somewhere, and on top of that you don't speak the local language, to know that you are not alone and there is someone for you that can give you tips about the city, the classes, maybe pick you up from the airport and so on.

How can a buddy help?

  • Finding an house
  • Giving you a tour around Bucharest
  • Introduce you to other international students and the nice places to hang out
  • Introduce you to all the ESN Poli's activities that will happen during the next semester
  • Since your buddy will be a local you will get the chance to find out about all the particularities of the Romanian lifestyle.
